Face the unknown… assuming they have a face.
A paranormal partnership has formed between Bethesda, Tango Gameworks and Laced Records as we present the dark Japanese electronica of Ghostwire: Tokyo on vinyl record.
Tango set out to reflect the juxtaposition of modernity and history in Tokyo, where neon high rises and historic temples stand side by side. Composer Masatoshi Yanagi’s goal was to express this unique game world by utilising the three wind instruments of Gagaku (ancient Japanese court music): shō, hichiriki, and ryuteki (dragon flute). He also explored traditional instruments including the shakuhachi (bamboo flute) and the chappa (cymbals), as well as traditional musical scales. These elements intermingle with modern, tenebrous synthesised sounds and distorted waveforms.
Singer EvE performs the disquieting nursery songs that punctuate several of the disc sides, injecting the overall score with a child-like eeriness.
This double LP set features 26 specially mastered tracks, thoughtfully curated by Tango Gameworks and pressed on ‘crystal clear’ heavyweight LPs. The deluxe double gatefold sleeve showcases some of the creepy folkloric J-horror art pieces created by the game’s design team.

FAQs
Do you ship to my location?
The store you are currently on (www.lacedrecords.co) ships worldwide excluding Brazil.
If you are based in the USA or Canada, please visit www.lacedrecords.com – orders from this store ship from within the US.
When do I pay for pre-orders? At the time of ordering? Or when it ships?
All pre-orders are charged at the time of ordering to avoid credit card or bank account surprises in future.
How can I find out what the shipping costs will be for my order?
All shipping costs are calculated and clearly displayed as you go through the checkout process. You can also use our shipping calculator on the shopping cart page to estimate shipping costs to your address.
Post-Brexit, if I’m ordering to the EU, will I have to pay VAT twice?
All orders ship from the UK. We are part of the IOSS VAT scheme, meaning that for all new orders shipping to the EU under the value of €150 (exc. shipping & tax), VAT is included in the store checkout price.
Depending on the country customers are ordering from, packages may be subject to customs and import duties. Laced Records has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Contact your local customs office for further information.I’m based outside of the UK. Will I have to pay any customs or import duties?
For ALL orders shipping outside of the UK: depending on the country customers are ordering from, packages may be subject to customs and import duties. Laced Records has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Contact your local customs office for further information.
I see Laced Records has two websites, which should I use?
Laced operates two web stores, which correspond to our two warehouses:
- lacedrecords.com (with an ‘m’) for US and Canada-based customers (US warehouse)
- lacedrecords.co (without an ‘m’) for all other territories (UK warehouse; you are currently on this store.)
The websites should automatically redirect site visitors from one to the other if they visit the wrong site. This is important, because if you try to order from the incorrect site, you may be charged significantly higher shipping fees, as well as customs duties.
Orders shipping to Canada from lacedrecords.com store may still face customs duties, as these ship from the US. These extra fees are beyond Laced Records’ control, and may require further research by the customer.
If you use a VPN, this may confuse the geo redirect, so please ensure you are using the correct website if you plan on purchasing something.
How long are your pre-order windows?
Unless we explicitly state otherwise, we don’t run set pre-order windows that finish on a particular date.
Customers usually have a few days to a few weeks from announcement to be assured of securing a pre-order. After that, pre-order products might sell out, especially Limited Edition variants.
When a product is sold out, sometimes a small amount of overstock becomes available once it has shipped and replacements are accounted for.
What does ‘Limited Edition’ actually mean?
A Limited Edition ‘variant’ refers to a unique disc colour combination (or ‘colourway’) that will only see one pressing, and is exclusively sold through the Laced Records stores (lacedrecords.com for US and Canada; lacedrecords.co for outside the US.)
Once that pressing is sold out, that variant or colourway will not be repressed (hence ‘limited’.) However, that vinyl set might see a Standard Edition (black disc) repress, or additional exclusive/limited editions in future.
Our philosophy is that, where possible, the first pressing should be the most special in terms of disc design.
